The first consultative meeting, which was titled “Human Rights Needs and Coordination Mechanisms in the Short and Long Term” and with the invitation of (ACU, Civilians for Justice and Peace, Association of Peace, Justice and Documentation), was held on February 26, 2019, with the broad participation of a group of lawyers, judges, and human rights defenders.
The meeting included a description of the Syrian legal and human rights reality in addition to a discussion of needs and priorities. The discussion was also about mechanisms for coordinating efforts, as it was emphasized that such meetings should be repeated and held periodically.
